Fryburg Rail Loading Facility

Fryburg Rail Loading Facility

The Fryburg Rail Loading Facility located in Fryburg, North Dakota, was the construction of a 330 acre, 18 car rail loading facility for the Bakken Link Pipeline. The project included the installation of one mile of buried 10” pipeline that tied into two 155,000bbl storage tanks. From the storage tanks 18” pipelines ran to the pump house and from the pump house to the loading shed. Brahma was responsible for the design, procurement and construction of the structural steel pipe rack and the installation of the owner supplied rail loading pipe rack along with owner supplied specialties.

Brahma installed a series of foundations on this project including foundations for the tank car scale, thermal oxidizer, the pipe bridges, pipe supports, propane storage tanks and booster pump. Our scope of work included the installation and support of all piping and fittings both provided by the owner and procured by Brahma. We also installed the tank car loading rack, loading stations, stairs and associated equipment and structural steel. Our skilled craftsmen made accurate piping connections to the storage tanks, pumps, loading arms, thermal oxidizer, propane storage, and associated controls and instrumentation. Instrumentally we also installed the tank car scale controls.

The Bakken Link Pipeline spans 75 miles and ties into the Dry Creek & Three Forks pump stations along with the Watford City and Dunn Truck loading facilities.
