Brahma worked with Rio Tinto’s Kennecott Copper Mine Refinery to replace tanks 77, 97, 107 and 109 in the Precious Metals Building. Brahma’s scope of work encompassed the turnkey replacement of four tanks along with upgrades to pumps, piping, instruments and motors. This combined $800,000 dollar project included disconnecting, removing, reinstalling and reconnecting all electrical and instrumentation relative to each tank. Instrumentation included level transmitters, flow indicators, pressure and temperature transmitters, along with variable frequency drives.
We completed all of the work during a ten day shutdown with a critical production deadline. We also self-performed all work, creating efficient project coordination between crafts, leading to an on time completion.
